The solitary swan waiting for her savior. Awaiting the day he will come to set her free.
Awaiting the day anyone comes to set her.
She waits patiently.
She's been waiting a while.
Sitting alone on her swan lake she wades.
She no longer sleeps.

Love in the Year of 1886Emilia Harper stepped through the doors of the ballroom as the finely dressed butlers announced her presence. She elegantly descended the stairs in her beautiful gown. The collar and sleeves to the small train was made of elegant mint green silk. Separated with a forest green ribbon around her waist, the bodice and the middle of her skirt were off-white. The bottom of the skirt was draped and held with flowers of the same mint green. Her dark hair gathered at the top of her head in a bun of curls and a single tendril fell into her face. She looked stunning as a blush spread over her cheeks as everyone turned and stared.Love in the Year of 1886

She Will Never be ok.Heavy footsteps approach and he enters the room. He finds the girl staring at the Christmas tree, tears streaming down her face as she sits perched on the sofa. He steps closer with caution. She doesn't look at him. He sees the picture of her family laying on the couch beside her. The song plays from the computer and he knows she's anything but ok. He sits down on the couch a good distance away. Giving her space. She sits unblinking. Tears never stopping. He looks at the picture and knows. Knows why she's crying. And way she's playing the song. And why she won't be ok. Because more than half the people in her picture are dead. BecaShe Will Never be ok.
The Unknown TrystShe comes out of her hiding as he leans on the tree. Lost in a reverie he doesn't notice her quick movements. He doesn't hear the soft brush of her tulle gown over the hard bark of the tree. He doesn't see her climb to get a better look at him. He just rests. Lost in his own thoughts. Only when the girls dress slips over the side of the thick bark does he notice her there. In the most unusual position for a lady he stands and stares. She smiles and fumbles with the gilded bow on her back. She frees the string of silver and she gropes for an arrow of rose. He looks on with astonishment. hello all! i am glynnis! welcome to my Page'o Wonder! i am here to put my writing up. you will soon find out that i jump around while writing these things because i never know what to say about myself. but im much more put together when when writing important stuff i have three best friends in the world, katie, leslie, and emily. i love them, they're the best friends ever. and they put up with all of my shit. like my non-stop busting. i have a great sense of humor that pretty much never ends. oh the jokes at our lunch table...good times, good times. i have two older brothers, joe and chris. they are both in their first year of college. joe stayed home and went to a local school, and chris went to a school about two hours away. my father is from ireland. and i get alot of inspiration from the old stories he tells me and of irish mythology and the creatures. i love the creatures! my passion is writing. i love writing so much. it has always been in my life and i have done it for as long as i can remember. ive been making up stories and characters in my head for as long as i can remember. and i dont think that i will ever stop. it can be a curse sometimes, like in math class when i should be paying attention. well story of my life i guess my dream is to become a professional writer. i would love to be a novelist. im currently working on a book but i won't put any of that up here. check out my poems though goodbye! |
